Hey Fans! Yes,
the NEW CD will be here at the end of the month and I hope everyone will mark their calendars and come out to
celebrate with us at the CD Release Party on Saturday, August 7th, at the LaCarreta on Bluebonnet in Baton Rouge. We have a great night planned from 6-10 pm. The night will start with a house band consisting of Joey Decker on bass (producer of my cd and bass player for The Issue), Andy Bougeois on keyboard (played keyboard on my cd and also of The Issue), Stan Campbell on lead guitar (taught me everything I know about guitar and more), and Jeff Schwartzman on drums.
Kirk Holder, Chris Leblanc, and David St. Romain will all be "special guests performers" that night. Each of them have been influential to me and are AMAZING! I will, then, do a set with
The Solar Heat (my brothers Mack and Cody) and finish the evening playing with my band of fellow Catholic High grads,
Alan Twitty Project. Other special events for the night include
THE FIRST 100 PEOPLE at the PARTY will receive the new cd FREE compliments of our sponsor, Treads n' Care AND we will, also, be
drawing for a guitar signed by all of the performers at the end of the evening compliments of our sponsor, Zeagler's Music. We will, also, have vintage Solar Heat merch, as well as, New "CJ Solar Rocks the South" merch for sale that night, and, of course, the NEW CD for those who aren't in the first 100! Hope to see you there! Help us make it the PARTY of ALL PARTIES to end the SUMMER!
This month, you can still catch Stan and me doing our duo set on the patio at LaCarreta on Bluebonnet (see calendar for dates) and I am excited to be vacationing on the Carnival Triumph Cruise to Cozumel this month and performing in their Club Rio one night. Check out the article about the CD Release in City Social this month if you haven't seen it.
I do need a favor from the fans this month: I would like to put together a compilation video for Honky Tonk Humpin' of friends dancin' to the song or make a line dance to it and put them all together. I've received a few submissions, but if you could help out that would be great! Just upload it to You Tube and send me a link and we'll try to include your segment in the video.
