Hey Fans! I just posted my latest song on my myspace player, "She Rocks Those Wranglers." I wrote this song after several requests to write a barrel racing song and that's what I came up with, so I hope everyone likes it! I love to hear what you all would like to hear in a song, so just let me know, your inspiration just might be my next song! I expect to have my complete 11 song cd completed and available next month as long as the pollen lets up so I can go into the studio and sing the last 2 songs. March brings nice weather (hopefully) and I will be resuming my solo dates at Monjuni's this month. Also, Stan & I will be moving over to the new LaCarreta on Bluebonnet on some Thursday nights. Check the calendar for all dates. I'll be going to Nashville on our Spring Break to attend Tin Pan South and NSAI's Spring Training. Really looking forward to hearing all the great songwriters and I'm really excited about playing while in town myself. If you are in Nashville, you have to come to Richard's Cafe for the Ragin Cajun Writer's Jam on Sat. March 27th. I will be playing and would love to see you at the jam. The food is GREAT and you must try the Beignet Bomb!
Look for lots of changes on the website and myspace over the next few months. Also, could use your help in planning a rodeo tour for the summer. If you have anyone that I should contact in your area about playing at the rodeo or a club venue or festival in your area, just let me know. I would love to come to your area with the show! Hey Fans! What a Great Month in Louisiana! Let me catch up with my greetings first: Happy Birthday Mom! Geaux Saints! Congrats on the Superbowl win! We love you! Happy Valentine's Day! and Happy Mardi Gras! My apologies for being late with the newsletter this month, but what a busy month it has been! I just got back from Nashville where I attended Tom Jackson's Live Performance Bootcamp. I had a great time, met lots of awesome artists, and can't wait for you all to see the changes in our live show! I have, also, been in the studio and am finishing up recording the last 3 songs to complete my new 11 song original cd. I took a year to get just the right songs written and recorded. It should be ready for release by the end of next month, but I will give all of my myspace friends a sneak peak of the new songs as soon as they are complete! I always love your input and I really want to thank all of my friends who have had my song, "Bulls Are Bucking" played at their local rodeo and radio stations. I am planning a rodeo tour for this summer, so let me know if you have a place that I should add to the schedule. I couldn't do it without such great friends and fans. Thank you so much for all of your help!
I will be finishing the month out with a showcase at the Louisiana Fairs & Festivals annual convention on Friday, February 26th and so, we hope to be coming to a fair or festival near you all soon! Thanks, CJ
