Hey Everyone! May is such a great month (with the end of school and everything). Just some brief news this month, since I'm studying for finals this week. Looking forward to graduation on the 22nd and the summer! The new CD should be ready by the end of the month. Check the schedule for upcoming shows and if you are going to the Bayou Country Superfest, make sure to see David St. Romain on the outdoor stage on Saturday afternoon, May 29th. Hey fans!!!! April has been so much fun that I am just getting around to doing the newsletter! I started out the month in Nashville at Tin Pan South Songwriter's Festival. Got to play at some great venues, meet alot of wonderful people, and hear some awesome songwriters! It was so nice that the festival coincided with my school's spring break! Things have been pretty busy after returning to Baton Rouge (and school). The band had a great time playing at the International Heritage Celebration and Perkins Rowe's spring concert series and Stan and I have been at the La Carreta on Bluebonnet on Saturdays. Thanks to everyone for coming out to these events, but there's more to come this month!
We are very excited to have been selected to showcase at the Florida Music Festival which will be held in downtown Orlando on Saturday, April 24th. We will be playing on the Main Stage on Wall St. at 1pm that Saturday, so if you are in sunny Orlando, come out and see us! There are great bands all day long and for more information, you can go to www.floridamusicfestival.com.
Other exciting news this month: "Bulls Are Bucking" will be played at the Angola Rodeo to open the bullriding event on April 17 &18; "That Kind of Love" was selected as a finalist in the Great American Song Contest, received a Song of the Year Honor, and had a song selected for the Deep South Compilation CD.
I'm anticipating to have my new cd completed by next month. I just wrote a new song that I think everyone will like and had to included it on the cd, so I'm recording it next week and the cd will be 12 songs when it comes out!
